Counselor in Training (C.I.T.) Program

This 4 week learning intensive program prepares teens to care for children in a camp setting. CITs will gain training, hands on experience, and have a month filled with personal growth. The CIT program is limited to rising sophomores and juniors. The program is a leadership and development experience. While there is an opportunity to apply for a Junior Counselor position the following year, CITs will not be considered for employment during the same summer in which they complete the program. The schedule below offers a general outline of what a CIT can be expected to learn from the program.

  • Informative seminars from COO, Behavior Management Specialist, and Camp Director
  • Pool safety training
Week 2
  • Shadow Traditional Camp
  • Shadow Specialty Camp
  • Shadow Activity Staff
Week 3
  • Choose focus track for remainder of the program
  • Track options include: Junebug Counselor, Lower Counselor, Middle Counselor, Upper/Senior Counselor, Specialty Counselor, Activity Staff
Week 4
  • Continue track engagement
  • Plan and execute activity for campers

Fee and Program Dates:

$200 (July 6, 2026 – July 31, 2026)

CITs must attend ALL 4 weeks (no exceptions).
